  Just wondering and trying to understand how the mind of a sick madman works: If you booby trapped your apartment to cause harm to anyone who went into it, and you were capable of going into a theater to do what he did, why would you warn the cops that the apartment was booby trapped? At what point does the mind go from being capable of committing murder on that scale, to saying something that will prevent more death?
