so far i've had only three problems with my iphones: my 4G's power button got stuck down and wouldn't work anymore (so i couldn't turn off the screen anymore), my 4GS' home button quit working (so i couldn't quit apps anymore) and the same 4GS' down volume button got stuck (causing the volume adjustment thing to always be on screen and in the way).
in each case i managed to fix it by taking a fingerful of tequila and working a drop into the hole around the button, than just kinda rubbing it for a bit and letting it dry.
who says alcohol won't solve your problems?
just a tip in case any of you guys run into a similar issue

- i think if i were pushing them too hard the tequila trick wouldn't work. it's dissolving goo or dirt or something in there that's blocking a contactscarabin
