My take from the event:
Vic Gundotra is a nice speaker and he should lead all these keynotes like today.
Google Glass showcase was awesome, Sergey Brin seemed to be on cocaine (or HIGH ON LIFE!). I'm glad Google is pushing on wearable computing and can't wait to see what the technology will be like in 5 years. Mike Abrash (ex id Software, now at Valve) is also working on wearable computing at Valve Software) http://blogs.valvesoftware.com/a…
The 7 inch tablet seems great and at the right price. Here's hope the thing won't get abandoned on future Android releases. I was hoping they would go against Apple with an equally sized tablet, it seems they want to screw Amazon up (Amazon is also using Android but a heavily modified fork and not using any of the Google services on it).
The Nexus Q thing is expensive, lots of people think Apple has something ready for the christmas season regarding TV, we'll see about that. But with the price of one Nexus Q you get 3 Apple TVs now, and with Snow Lion those things will even more useful (Airplay Mirroring).
- Another cool thing was everyone on the event got a free nexus Q, the tablet and a Galaxy Nexus smartphoneernexbcn
- Continuing the tradition of the previous I/O events, but on this one they gave more freebiesernexbcn
