Keep in mind that the quality of the work and depth of penetration will determine the work's longevity - six plus years now for my oldest stuff and no blow outs, fades detected. All ten needle work and I took extra precautions post completion (I'm diabetic so I heal a lot slower); keep clean with mild simple products and do not be afraid to use a cream like Neo/Poly-sporin for the first few days to prevent infection.
After that just be smart - your money, your skin.
One last thought - you are going for a typically highly visible location - make sure it is something love ones' can tolerate and enjoy.
Good luck!
