  Saw this last night. I thought it was rather enjoyable. One thing I liked was that there was no overt and contrived love sub-plot like most contemporary fairy-tale remakes seem to force feed us. I'll admit that most of the cast, with the exception of Charlize, was sort of one-dimensional as characters. But the cinematography and brisk plot pace sort of made up for it. Overall it was rather enjoyable, mature spin on the traditional fairy tale.

  • Fairy tales are generally mature. Read Grimm's Fairy Tales and not the Disney tripe.ETM
  • I know, but most contemporary fairy-tales cater to the kindergarten crowd, not adults.d_rek
