  fulfilling the minimum requirements then being treated as if you excelled is good for retarding free thought.

  Education used to be; "This is how you learn, these are your tools, this is how to use them". It has now gone to "Here are the tests, here are the answers, make sure we pass our minimum skills requirement tests."

  This is by no means the fault of the educator but the system they are in, each year funding cuts and program cuts destroy America from the inside, not so much unlike it's military presence destroys other cultures.
