Think about it, were you happy doing the shipping job? Ever? I'd dread going to work everyday being a designer and having to spend most of my role working with shipping.
Be happy. Now. Update that resume and your skillz.
I know I'm making it sound too easy - but it's really that easy. Decide that it is and start moving forward. The sooner you do the sooner your new path can start progressing. I remember a story of some head of some country's daughter was tragically killed, and the next day he arrived at an official event when everyone thought he'd be on his way back home to his country and when asked why he was still there he said (I can't really remember it verbatim but it went kinda like this): "I could have gone into a dark pit where I could ask questions like why her? why my family? why me? I could seek revenge on the people that did this. But I saw nothing good coming from that . . . Well, after alot of thought I knew eventually one day I'd have to accept what has happened . . . I decided that day is today, and am moving forward."
