Sandman, if you want to get good, follow valentes adivce. Think about what would be fun to do, if you like it in the thick of it then try assault, get the paddles on, and stick with your team. Let them take point, and learn when to revive, you'll start picking up when to shoot and covering and things like that. Personally I like to use the paddles and the m320, for pesky window snipers.

If you fancy taking on tanks, and or supporting vehicles go engineer, remember the weakest part of a vehicle is the back.

Support is for laying down covering fire and keeping your teams ammo up. The suppression perk is good for both attack and defence.

If you want to not support your team and sit in a corner then use a sniper, some people get good at close range with the rifles, but in all seriousness some multi class weapons like the p90 and the shotguns are good. The sniper equipment is good.

you have to remember that this game is massively about teamwork. Find your position in the team and you will have much more fun.
