Thanks to epill, I was able to have a frank conversation with the company. At the end of the day, maybe it's just a piece of paper that won't actually grant me much legal power. But because of that piece of paper, we now have a mutual understanding of the work relationship. And no one wants to be the asshole that once shook hands on the agreement and then screws the other guy over.it's been smooth sailing since. Still doing work for them.
