Yeah, I know as many people who found 'true love' online as did in the real world. It's quick, cheap, and you know most of the basic facts before you even talk to them.
I will caution you, though. Chicks will get everyone from the horny 13 year old to some old guy wanting a young hotty to rendezvous with at his beach house, and of course everything in between. Guys aren't so lucky : (, so be patient (unless you look like Brad Pitt, maybe).
It works as well as anything else and chances are many of the people online are at least fairly skilled with a computer (unlike many of my friends).
