I will probably get ripped apart for saying this...but ehhh.
This website is in every html tutorial. In fact, it is as elementary as 1+1=2. Maybe that is what is intended. For what it is, a photo album, it works. The work would have made any presentation look good. This just proves that the simplest presentation would work for what is being presented.
I would have preferred a better nav structure. Something that tells me what page I am on. The white bar across the top would have worked nice for this.
Arrows. It is unbalanced to me in that sense. On one hand, here you have a simple website for simple viewers. The intention wasn't to fill the screen with useless information. A simple website if you will, yet their is no "simple" or "traditional" navigation upon initial load. Once you make the first click, it explains it's self. But for something that doesn't require any extra thinking, but asks you to figure out how to navigate first doesn't work for me. In this case, simple "left" & "right" arrows wouldn't have hurt.
The email is out of place. Should be by the phone number, unless the intention is to get the viewer to call you. So in this case they would have to search for the email link rather then the phone number which is obvious. Was that the case?
Again, for what it is, it works. More info on yourself would have been nice. People who admire the work and are not interested in hiring you, but look to you as inspiration would appreciate some inside info on what drives you. Don't know if that type of stuff matters to you at this point. You seem to be where you need to be in the industry.
Information on the photos would be nice. What they were used for. When they were shot.
I don't think your location is an issue or important since you move with the jobs.
Good work. It would be interesting to see some of your earlier stuff. Growth is great, but I would like to see what drove you and what you were into early on.
cheers! =)
