I got insomnia pretty bad when I was young and watched a lot of TV at night. As well as watching a lot of obscure and slow sports when the Olympics were on the other side of the world (curling at the winter olympics is burnt into my memory), Channel 4 would show various foreign comedy shows in the middle of the night. You would know fellow insomniacs in the school yard from their references:
