    futuremongolian, As it is today, I think FB does something unique. Every day my mom tells me of some old college friend from overseas that she found on FB. And then they get on the phone and start talking and catch up. What other source brings everyone together like that? Twitter is too terse and seems more about celebrities, while FB is more about regular people.

    I'm not saying FB will last forever, but I think it will be around for a while. MySpace was a wreck because of the over-customization and people got sick of not knowing what to expect when they went to a page... some song blaring or a million gifs. People like the structure FB gives.

    • Twitter may be celebrity (and media)-driven but it's also far more popular with non-whites than Facebook.futuremongolian
