I think most magazines publish their iPad content with InDesign, and simply export pngs if Im not mistaken. However with the retina resolution this causes major readability problems, so I believe pubs will start using more HTML 5.
- ePubs and iPad publications are very different, unfortunately. Retina display causes no readability problems.monospaced
- HTML 5 is only required for the "widget" and special interactive parts.monospaced

- I see your point though. The hardware "scales" up instead of just quadrupling the pixels. My bad.monospaced
- This would be a non-issue for a NEW publication though. So your argument doesn't hold anymore.monospaced
- yeah the images look fine, but the text however looks blurry as hellletterhead
- it brings up the need for staying away from fixed resolution publications in the futureletterhead
- funny how quick people rush to say things look like shit as soon as they are spoiled by the retina display. I hear ya bromonospaced
