Lens is where you should invest more money into. I know someone that brought a 60D to film 'stuff' on but never uses it. From chatting to a grader and DOP who shot with the 7D and the current Canon range isn't as good as is cracked to be.
If you just want low budget (ish) filming - I'd look into gh2. If you want still I'd look into the new fujifilm range. I you want both - my moneys back on the gh2. Again must my experience!
