I have a friend who left a $75,000 ad job for grad school in social work. she graduated with TONS of debt and finds the jobs in her new field paying about 1/3rd to half of what she used to make. She also hates big institutions with lots of regulations and rules and paperwork... so I think it's fair to examine exactly what your future career will entail on a daily basis if you go that route....
Otherwise, you can do a hell of a lot for people without fixating on a degree or certification.... sometimes those things railroad you into a life you may not want....
