Well, MKD... I do know what it's like. Did work for Walmart (still hate them), Microsoft, NBA, a golf club maker, a major university's sports program. If I name the last two clients specifically, someone on QBN will figure out who I am, so I won't. I also won't show you my portfolio. It's out there right now, but I'll never connect my QBN name with my professional name. IMO it's a dumb thing to do, career wise.
Anyway, you missed my point. I wasn't talking about clients finding out that you don't watch South Park, I was talking about being culturally aware. As a designer, you should be plugged into society through all sorts of media. And yet you're telling me that you've never even heard of South Park. It's been on the air for 15 years. It makes me think you don't really live in the US and aren't being honest in more ways than one. I may be wrong though. You could be living in a cave.
And the way you write, here and on your website, is not of someone who would seem to have the capabilities of running with large American clients. The 1st person / 3rd person inconsistencies on your website are unprofessional. You seem lost and disorganized. Your copy is all over the place. Even your résumés are packed full of design jargon that sounds like it's been pulled from other résumés.
I don't know. I getting a weird vibe from all this.
