Folks comments about the Spirit Absolute 2's are interesting and I might keep my eye open for a bargain on ebay.

One of the reasons i've never went and bought monitors is because there are so many currently on the market. Fan-boys will rave about one make or the other and you read in forums about folk spending a lot of money and not being happy with what they've bought.

With the Spirit Absolute 2's being an old tried and tested model that folk still own and use daily is a VERY good recommendation. Much better than a fan-boy one.

    Cheers.

    • Heh, at the same time I know folks who have used Yamaha NS10's for 30 years...kingsteven
    • All the great producers I know will use vintage tannoys or rodgers, a reference monitor like the ab2's or ns10 and a full range speaker like an auratonekingsteven
    • (mono) full range speaker like an auratonekingsteven
    • so it's worth getting to know a speaker, like the ab2's. (boring flat response reference monitor... ) but also good to have different speaker types/ cabinet sizes to test on.kingsteven
    • have different speaker types/ cabinet sizes to test on.kingsteven
