Not work-related, but I found a nice hunk of eucalyptus, and a made a shoto (short sword) and a couple tantos (knives) to round out my wooden weapons set for Aikido. Great fun. May do a similar project with jatoba next.

- It's pretty dense and hard, so cutting/shaping/etc can be pretty slow going.TheFatBaron
- These were done with a hand plane and chisel that I keep very sharp, so it wasn't too bad. Nice, straight, regular grain, too.TheFatBaron
