    usually the publisher contacts the designer or agency that's behind the logo, ask for submissions and send a complimentary copy after it's published.

    no royalties, and client/ company represented by the logo in question never knows / is not interested until the designer comes to them with the book super stoked about the logo gaining some recognition. company still doesn't care (maybe a little)
