    thanks guys!
    I don't really mind what happens after I give it to the client, if they want to compress it and put it on a 640 by 480 I won't have control over that. My concern was mainly directed to my macbook pro showing banding when I'm working on the project inside after effects (prior to render) on my desktop I open the same project and it doesn't happen.

    I think there's some setting on after effects in terms of display maybe? or maybe the monitor on the imac just has more color depth?
