i had a weird design related dream..
i was back in college.. and i was in my final year in illustration, and my thesis had to be done in "photoshop" and in my dream, i kept asking why must it be created in photoshop, as the app really didnt exist when i was in school..
my professor who to my knowledge til today has never ever used it, and is himself one of the worlds leading fashion illustrators out there and still continues to push out work all hand drawn..
yet my final project was to be done in photoshop, one that i had never started.. i remember in the dream, it was the final day.. and i had around 10 hours before i had to submit my work and my class mates all whom spent months on their projects kept asking me .. what i was going to make considering i never started..
and each time i brushed them off saying "its fucking photoshop" "ill bang it out in a few minutes"
and yet in the dream i had no passion for it as even today, my sole usage of photoshop is thru PSBs only.. and i only spend no more than 2-5 minutes max on each..
so in my dream.. i would do just that.. i remember i went to a cafe/ bar in the city and saw 4 japanese chicks.. whom i asked to take their photo for my assignment.. i took 1 pic.. and left.. uploaded to my puter.. and re-drew them as my style hand drawn way.. cursing the assignment thru the whole 5 minutes it took me to make it happen..
i printed it out on a lifesize canvas plotter and hand signed my name.. and handed it in..
i got an A+.
then i woke up.. so fucking strange!!
