No, that opinion article is bullshit. It doesn't even address the aquafer in Nebraska that the pipeline would cross. a leak would poison the water for millions in that area. TransCanada proposed ONE route to circumvent this in late Nov. Not nearly enough time before the 60 day deadline imposed to verify the possible ecological impacts, or lack thereof.
If a mechanic said "i can put this new gasline in your car, but it may burst into flames and i don't have time to verify if it will or not" you'd likely tell him to hold off.
And that's ON TOP of the bullshit job numbers.But it's brilliant on the Repubs part. Force him into making a move you know he'll make and then criticize him for making.
