overall to me, circle = globe, especially with the lines that span it.
colors = warmth, and natural. I get a slight ethnic or native vibe from it.
Technically, there isn't much depth - I can't tell which line is on top or bottom. It seems like it wants to be a globe or orb, or maybe it wants to be a flat circle - and is lost somewhere between the two. I'd push it one way or the other.
The shadow below it seems out of place - the overall circle is pretty flat, but the shadow says I'm supposed to read it as a orb.
Curves within the logo are not parallel, or perfect curves that might trace the shape of the globe, and therefore give off an organic feel.
Bottom left of logo (green area) has much richer shading than everywhere else, which seems pretty flat. That area seems out of place.
I would guess this is a logo for a small/regional organic health food store with a "think global" mentality, or maybe a non profit organization that has something to do with farming in developing countries somewhere in the southern hemisphere. That's what I get from it.
I would suggest that it needs enough of a concept (or at least visual/stylistic associations) that if you ask the questions you did, you get a majority of answers that align with what you want to say about the client.
