To say that the media ignores Ron Paul is to simply shill for his campaign. I'm so tired of Ron Paul choir boys stating this nonsense around everyone they talk to.

He may say sensible things about scaling back a military empire. He may even remind you of your beloved Pappy. Nonetheless, he is a fringe candidate and all of supporters need to understand that at one point or another. It so simple, no matter how much his campaign/supporters will try to obfuscate this fact.

    • But what makes him a fringe candidate? Aside from the military aspect, his views are on are with conservative thought, no?locustsloth
    • so what makes him fringe? It's a matter of perception and that perception is largely controlled by the media

    • i, personally, think his proposals could work logistically, but fail socially.locustsloth
    • It's funny because mainstream conservatives' rejection of him as a viable candidate actually says more about what they TRULY want than it does about how viable Paul islocustsloth
    • want than it does about how viable Paul islocustsloth
    • Most of the American electorate doesn't want to eliminate the Fed.waterhouse
    • Nor gut our military. Nor deny homosexuals the right to marry. Nor ban abortions.waterhouse
    • Even most conservatives appear to be uncomfortable with his extreme past statements on race and sexuality.waterhouse
    • sexuality. He vows to do things as President that constitutionally, Congress would never allow.waterhouse
    • Even the Conservative electorate is smarter than you think. They recognize him for the flimsy con man that he is.waterhouse
    • Let's also not forget that he'll be endorsed by virtually no major colleagues.waterhouse
    • Thusly, Ron Paul's problem is not with the media alone.waterhouse
    • agreed locustsloth, his views are smart, but socially, they'll never fly with most voters
