  My gf runs her Mac Book Pro to do some heavy editing and it gets so hot you can fry eggs on top - i looked into laptop coolers yet all of them ended up being dissatisfactory with amount of air they moved around so i built my own... With 2 powerful fan - it ain't quiet but it moves so much air the laptop barely gets warm:
