in the comic, it was never bane's intention to kill batman, he wants batman to suffer.. so he breaks his spine instead.. he wants batman to know that it was him and that he planned it all out that he isnt some brute.. he wants bruce wayne to feel it. he wants to take it all away from him.. his family.. his butler.. his home.. in the books bane destroys it all.. poor alfred.. i feel for him more than i do bruce wayne.. in the books.. another takes on the cape.. in batman's leave.. and that is Azrael.. someone who kills without regret.. Azrael also defeats Bane.. and thus bruce wayne eventually makes a return and takes down Azrael.. and reclaims his place as Gotham's Dark Knight..
i really dont know how Nolan will spin that story in this last movie..
- also in the books, bane unleashes all of the criminal world upon gotham ..e-pill
- batman must face all his villains and in the end when he is at his weakest bane cripples him.e-pill
