Yes, but Im talking about the style of the movies. There are many superhero movies that dont have comic counterparts. These movies are more like them, rather than traditional comic book movies.
My stepdad met David Goyer at a big comic book show years ago, and he didnt even consider these to be comic book movies. He referred to them as superhero movies. That's where I got that from, and have seen this discussed on comic message boards.
