Also the thing about Nolan, what you notice when you watch his movies, like Memento, Prestige, Inception, these batman movies, they are all pretty similar.
He takes great stories and just puts them on film in a very clean and logical way. He doesnt try to do anything over the top, as little CGI as possible, practical effects and stunts.
I guess his best trait is his ability to take complex stories and not have the visuals water the story down or drown it out. You look at Inception, that story is extremely intricate. You can imagine how hard it must be to put that story on film and make it work.
That's really all these batman films are. They arent really comic book movies. They are superhero movies, but Im very hesitant to call them comic book movies. Sounds like epill might agree with me on this.
