I dont know who that guy with the plane was. Need the bigger picture of the story which isnt revealed in this. Dont know who he was working for. All we know is he is concerned about Bane, wants to know more about him and his mask.
And that there is a guy named Dr. Pavel, who Bane ends up saving. Knowing Bane has some sort of horrific injury, plane guy must have been interested in that mask for some unknown reason, and needed Dr. Pavel, but failed.
