    Bjj is a great sport and an awesome workout. Not as sure about it's real life applications. While you're going for that technical armbar outside the bar, the dudes friend is going to be stomping your face sideways. Also grappling on the sidewalk is a good way to get tetnis and cut to shit.

    Def. valid for real life if you crosstrain it with a striking or less limited traditional martial art. It all depends on why you're in it... it's definatley humbling to get tooled by a 16 year old asian kid.

    • Not all jiu-jitsu is ground, If you train traditional Gi. It allows more control of someones clothing. Cross training is the key though. Judo, Boxing, Muay Thai.Ironmonkey
