I noticed today, walking through a crowded Grand Central on my way to work, that women swing their arms in wide arcs around them when they walk whereas men swing their arms in smaller arcs much closer to their bodies. It's so much easier passing a man in a crowded flow of people, but when you pass a wide-arcing woman you risk the high chance of her back-swinging hand knocking you in the nuts, or pushing you onto the train tracks. What gives?
