    It seems like the last episode has set up an arc where Jimmy's fuse finally gets lit.

    Consider all of the danger he currently faces: He's ordered two failed assassination attempts on parties who will likely return his favor. His weakening grasp on the city's liquor trade has his investors and henchman seeing blood. I'm also seeing some gears spin in Eli's head.

    Driving cases of whiskey himself to the next town over eerily felt more like a epilogue than the portrayal of a young turk's criminal ascendency.

    The natural response seems to be one of aggressive reassertion.
