The truth is he definitely wants them for status, he listens to an iPod for crying out loud. They will probably sound ten times better than his earbuds, so he'll love them and praise their quality. None of his friends own a pair of the latest color (orange), he said he may even wait for the lime green ones to come out. Clearly not thinking about sound quality.
I could school him regarding headphones and push some German or Japanese product but do I really want to do that? I may just get them on that Canadian Amazon site for $199, they won't be orange but at least he'll save $100. I'll let you know what he decides. I will also force him to take a pic so we can make fun how douchey he looks. lol
as far as him getting jumped or stabbed for them h can handle his own, i don't worry about that. he doesn't live in a that bad of a neighborhood.
