a friend of mine just asked me to sign a petition so that big box chain store employees don't have to work on the night before thanksgiving, so they can travel to be with their families. then she asked if we want to attend her christmas eve party at a local bar. told her can't cause we've already signed a different petition so that those bar workers can be home with their families... she didn't see the connection.
