I was scoring each round as they completed. I'm a Pacquaio fan but was being generous with Marquez because of the previous fights. I had Manny winning by two in the end. However, I had Marquez up by two around the 7th or 8th round. Then he didn't do shit for the 2nd half of the fight. Keep in mind that you also have to factor in aggression and ring generalship (who is actually making a fight happen, not just sitting back and trying to counter everything). Manny was easily the one moving forward in almost every round. He was throwing more and connecting more (Compubox proves that in the end).

Even if Marquez did win slightly by decision, I still wouldn't have given him the title. You have to take a title away from a champ, not just cruise by hoping to win enough points.

I think Marquez is a great fighter (definitely a hall-of-famer) but he's not a Manny Pacquaio. Manny is one of those fighters you only get every couple decades. I think these fights are as close as they are simply because of the way the two styles match up.

I don't see a Marquez 4 fight, simply because these last two fights were too similar and I can see Mayweather seeing the $$$ now for a Pacquaio fight.. However, I do see a Pacquaio / Mayweather fight NOT being fun at all. Mayweather is a counter-puncher. Freddie Roach knows that. Pacquaio is becoming more of a boxer now, and less of a brawler. They'll both be safe and not take many chances. Same thing as the Marquez fight except a lot less punches landing from both ends. UNLESS...Pacquaio sees it as a leave nothing to chance situation and goes all out (which he should since I don't see Mayweather hurting him significantly enough).
