spent a lot of time there back in the day....but always felt like i'd wished i was 'part of the conversation' if you know what i mean....it was all these cats that i admired alot, like Jeffery Zeldman etc, all chatting with one another, sharing links and stuff....and i wanted to join in.....
when they went on an unexpected hiatus about 10 years ago, everyone started looking elsewhere for links and inspiration....like surfstation, australiainfront, guigalaxy etc etc...and of course, holodeck73. i quite liked what i was seeing at holodeck, and then one day i went to check it out...and it wasn't there....or i couldn't find it or whatever...but there was Newstoday.
and it was Newstoday that grabbed my attention in a hurry.
suddenly i could be a part of the conversation.
suddenly what i said might (or might not) matter.
suddenly i found myself in an argument with Transfatty about whether or not white folks could use the N-word....he was in favour of it at the time..i thought it was ill advised. lol.....that argument still makes me laugh....anyhow, i joined up immediately...and never looked back....been here ever since.
