    question? why, if you want to learn the basics like CSS, XHTML, etc are you wanting a dreamweaver book?

    dreamweaver is just an ide. markup, code, css, scripting is all ide independent, mate. relying on software it a bad idea.

    you can write it in notepad or the most expensive ide on the market. the code doesn't change.

    why not learn how to actually write code/markup?

    i would suggest buying books on xhtml, css, xml, php/perl, what ever it is you want to learn.
