Working on a massive university site, we are using this special tool that lets you us css, html & javascript over the top of the page to run split tests and targeted content without actually editing the main page code. It's part of a long and drawn out process that we're starting to improve the site piece by piece. The idea is that we'll design 4 buttons and then see which ones get the most clicks, run 10 different versions of the same content written slightly differently for different user groups etc.. It's this old school Oracle system which is so locked down you literally have to fly an engineer out to touch it. Unfortunately at this point a complete rebuild & re-design is not an option..

On the left, current site, on the right some proposed updates:

    • lets us inject*tOki
    • looks cleaner, but sounds like a really shitty design process.Amicus
