digs.. yes it is very possible.. if you get paid every week, your monies wont be so hard to manage, but if you are getting paid only twice a month meaning 1 check will 100% be going to bills and living and the other will always be a floater..
45k is around 60k b4 taxes. and yes that is very possible and fine.
i earned 38k for about 7 years and i lived in manhattan, granted this was the late 90-s but cost of living is still very high..metrocards have gone up, and are possibly going to be $3 a ride each way.. so that is a major price tag right there every month..
if you can get a roommate, your lifestyle would easier..
