well I am on a pc and both softwares ( I am talking about the illustrator and photoshop) seems quite improved in terms of processing speed. They both open quite fast and seems working faster on the their workspaces.
I haven't played with the photoshop new features, still working on 7 at work, but when I was playin with photoshop at the weekend, I have used the layer comp for the first time and it is niceee :)
also in illustrator you have pretty much new options, creating slick 3d boxes etc. is just a mouse away.
so I do recommend them for sure.
