the fold does exist.
think about when you're viewing porn and you've got all these video thumbnails covering the page. I'm much more likely to click on a thumbnail if it's near the top, versus the thumbs that are on the bottom of the page.
it's not that the fold is an exact line... just put the important, good shit up top.
also, i'm so glad i quit design so that i don't have to deal with this kind of crap client after client.
