I think that guy has a point, I’m not saying you have bad design skills, but it's a bit lifeless.
It doesn’t really capture any feeling of the brewhouse. By viewing this site I can't sense what type of place this. I don’t think its helping with just having huge images with rounded corners, with this layout you don’t leave yourself many options in creating a feeling of the place. You now have to rely 100% on the pictures to get a feel of the place and those pics could be better.
It's just too plain, and your layout of text could be better. The text is just way too close to the edge of the white backdrops.
Give the site a bit more atmosphere!!!
