I think this is the problem for me, history doesn't really show that. Look at the last 30 years of deregulation/ lower taxes and the corresponding decrease in wages. Compare to 50s-60s period that was more socialistic and had higher standards of living.
Of course you could always claim any problem is due to government or other effects but I'm waiting to be convinced by evidence rather than just belief or philosophy. WHere is the example of country that adopted libertarian economic system and what were the effects on wages and standard of living.
