    couldn't find the vector, here's a sketch of something similar - i'm not sure this is much use tbh...

    additive example sort of works to show how complex sounds can be built from sine wave partials, suggests that by removing complexity (like mp3 compression) you end up with something less musical - ie. a sine wave :-s

    it's an interesting idea, i'll do a bit of thinking on this tonight...

    • removing partials on a additive square wave would sound the same as applying a LPF, amplifying (clip) a sine creates a squarekingsteven
