There was a one off TV programme on C4 called "Shoreditch Twat" which took the piss quite heavily out of the area. I seem to remember a sketch where a CD consultant came round to flats in Shoreditch to add any fashionable CDs to the residents collectionfor that week and remove any that were no longer desirable.
There was also a sketch where an applicant for a job in a bar was turned down because she wasn't a creative of any kind and "had no japanese friends at all"
I thought it was funny.
