    I think it's fair to point to overpaid public employees in some parts of the country...NYC...California... they are not helping the deficit crisis. The problem has more to do with pensions than salary.

    But this is a distraction from the larger income inequality issue. When 1% own almost half the wealth. That has nothing to do with the salary of a few thousand transit employees.

    • Yes, at times union power can be leveraged to an extreme degree. Conversely, if unions didn't exist, there'd be an absurd amount of power in the hands of the corporate overlords. Some sort of balance is what's needed. Who can argue with that?Kiino
