    for quick and dirty, maybe build the helmet shape plug using anything you can to achieve all the shapes you need - like mdf, bondo, a round surface like a bowl or ball. it's not going to be pretty but that doesn't matter at this point, then make a vacuum-forming table out of some basic wood pieces, it'll cost almost nothing. then vacuum form oven-warmed sheets of plastic over your helmet mould. solid and clear. cut out the clear areas, swap and glue/bolt. tint the clear stuff with tint spray. paint err'thing else. maybe take the strapping out of a cheap skate helmet and bolt that in there. find some small dancing xmas battery-operated led lighting rope at the dollar store, glue it in there. then you're done. you are daft punk. you are tres cool, now dance.
