I spilt tea onto it when it was fully turned off. So it should have been fine. No electricity running through it. I left it to dry for 3 days. But... I couldn't remove the battery as Apples a few years ago changed the design of their laptops to uni-bodied kiddie consumer products.
To remove the battery you need to unscrew around 8 screws to get the back plate off the macbook pro, then a further 4 screws on the battery and you need a special screw driver for that, which I didn't have at the time...
So it's apples fault for going too far down the mass consumer route.
I spilt a full cup of tea onto my old macbook a few years ago whilst it was on and plugged in. I unplugged it, and quickly removed the battery. Left it to dry over night and it was fine. Still works, am having to use it now...
- Pro's need tea when designing. Apple should design with that in mind! ha haorpkoobcam2
