I was there 2 weekends ago and stayed at the Best Aestern Sydney Opera, 3 star hotel, 5 minute walk from gare st.lazare, 10-15 minute walk from L'opera. Also a few minutes from gallery Lafayette/printemps department store if your missus likes to shop. Starts at €114/night per room. Breakfast included! Plus the receptionist was unbelievably helpful in giving directions,restaurant recommendations and even booking reservations! Highly recommend it!
